| Gefechtsbericht A: | Last night, and again in the early hours of this morning, M.T.B.’s 35, 54 and 218 attacked an enemy convoy of 2 merchant vessels with 4 escorts off Blanc Nez . In the first attack they badly damaged and perhaps sank a 3500 ton vessel and in the second attack they sank a 4000 ton ship. M.T.B. 35 was badly damaged and had to be beached at Ramsgate. M.G.B’s 43 and 52 on patrol near the Varne closed and shadowed the convoy in the interval between the two attacks. They were attacked by 4 eneny fast craft; M.G.B.52 was damaged by gunfire; and M.G.B.43 is believed to have sunk one of the enemy with a depth charge; she has superficial damage [1] - Handelsschiff wird von MTB 54 (Lt. Danielsen) mit Torpedo versenkt. 1 R-Boot von MTB 218 wahrscheinlich versenkt [2]. - |

Um 04u10 Schwerer T-Treffer auf "Trifels". 05u25 V 209 durch Kollision schwer beschädigt. 06u35 Dampfer 'Trifels' gesunken. 12u45 V 209 mit Hilfe von Schleppern und Pumpendampfer in Dünkirchen eingelaufen.[6] |
