| Gefechtsbericht A: | Enemy [E-Boats] plotted by shore radar and by DUFF continued to retire towards Le Havre and a second unit of 3 M.T.Bs. of the 63rd M.T.B. Flotilla (S.O. in M.T.B.721) was vectored by DUFF to intercept. Enemy, now seen to consist of 3 E-Boats only, was illuminated 0135 and engaged shortly after. Action continued until 0205 when all shell was expended. Hits were observed on enemy and his speed was reduced during the action. Superficial damage to M.T.B.721 [1]. |

| Gefechtsbericht B: | 17./18.07.1944 Vorstoß 2. S-Fltl. (S 174, 176, 177, 180, 181, 182) in die Seinebucht bei schlechter Sicht. Beim Passieren feindlicher MTB/MGBs muss S 176 einen leichten Treffer einstecken [2] -> Um 02u20 hatten S 176, 177 und 182 ein Gefecht mit MGBs, wobei S 176 durch einen Treffer 3 Verwundete hatte. Die 2. Gruppe (S 174, 180, 181) stieß bei schlechter Sicht auf keinen Gegner [3]. |
