| Gefechtsbericht A: | At approximately 31st/2315 Units of 23rd (French) M.T.B. Flotilla patrolling encountered an enemy convoy of 2 medium M/V with 2 or more trawler escorts steering W.S.W. in 090° Roche Douvre 7 miles. Sighting was at 3 miles. Force 113 endeavoured to close but enemy altered course towards and the force was accurately illuminated and engaged. Further attempts to close met with effective star-shell and M.T.Bs. finally withdrew with minor damage and no casualties. Force 114 did not engage [1]. |
