| Gefechtsbericht A: | PT 218 (Lt. Henry with S.O. aboard), 214 (Lt. Olson), 203 (Lt. Reade) made a torpedo attack on three Italian MAS boats, topedoes passed under the enmy without exploding. PT 218 made a gunnery gun, while the other two manoevered for a second torpedo attack. Lt. Arbuckle closed to 100 yards, but was repeatedly hit with 20mm and suffered considerable damage. Arbuckle, painfully wounded, organized the crew to save the boat before he collapsed [1]. |
