| Gefechtsbericht A: | 59th (Lt. Howard Bradford) führte 2 Gefechte in der Dover-Enge, die die Aufmerksamkeit des Gegners von Angriffen der "short boats" ablenkten [1]. -- On the night of 14th/15th March Howard Bradford tackled one merchant ship with a close escort of 2 auxiliary vessels and 10 to 12 R-Boats, and one of his unit of four boats sank it with a torpedo, and the other three set about the R-Boats, leaving one on fire. [2A] - The leading MTB was slightly damaged and its wireless was put out of action, so Bradford transferred to another boat and made another attack on a further enemy group of 6 R-Boats and 3 trawlers. Again one R-Boat was left burning, and the enemy were left firing at each other [2B]. |
