| Gefechtsbericht A: | Angriff auf Evakuierungsgeleit vor Cherbourg. Die 14th MTB/ 2nd Division meldet Torpedotreffer auf 2 Kümos, 1 Trawler und 1 Schlepper [1]. -- MTB's waiting for the final ecacuation convoy to leave Cherbourg harbour. This convoy consisted of a heterogenous collection of small coasters, tugs and Type III TLC's. Outside the breakwater two units of Lt. Shaw's 14th Flotilla were lying in wait. Lt. Baker, with three units of the 2nd division (SubLt. Oldfield, SubLt. McMorrish) caught the convoy as it was forming up .. and scored three certain and one possible hit with torpedoes. The targets were two small coasters, a trawler and a large tug [2]. |

| Gefechtsbericht B: | Angriff auf Geleitzug Cherbourg – Alderney trotz Feuerunterstützung durch die Küstenbatterie »Yorck« [3]. - 6. A-Flottille mit 3 Kümosen auf Marsch Cherbourg - Alderney. Gefecht mit feindl. S-Booten in BF 3552. AF durch Torpedotreffer gesunken, 12 Mann geborgen. Einlaufen der Kümosen in Alderney steht noch aus. [4] - Über das Gefecht der 6. A-Flottille mit feindl. S-Booten in der Nacht zum 24/6. wird nachträglich gemeldet, daß 2 S-Boote höchstwahrscheinlich versenkt wurden. Schlepper "Pilikoppen" ist nach Torpedotreffer gesunken, Schlepper "Johann" vermißt.[5] |
