| Gefechtsbericht A: | 26.03.: Three groups of E-Boats sailed from The Hook last night and were efficiently shadowed by our aircraft. One came to 45 miles east of Great Yarmouth, but was then lost and not heard of again. A second tried three times to break through our patrols N.W. of Westkapelle, but TORRINGTON’s M.T.Bs. each time intercepted them and drove them home severely punished. The third group had rather better luck, N.E. of N.F. 7, and in the neighbourhood of N.P. 10, buoys, and probably laid some mines, but was engaged by KRAKOWIAK, RIOU and ARENDAL and their M.T.Bs., and one boat was set on fire. Our forces suffered no damage or casualties.[1] -> MTB 475 (Peter Magnus) and 476 were credited with an E-Boat possibly sunk on 25/26 March.[2] |
