| Gefechtsbericht A: | Coastal forces last night engaged a northbound convoy north of Elba, scoring gunfire hits. Two M.T.Bs. received some damage and had slight casualties.[1]. - PT 210 (Lt. Nugent) with MGBs 657 (S.O.), 658, 663, 640 and 670 patrolled north of Piombino. A radar target was tracked until it disappeared into the beach 6 miles north of Piombino. Another target consisting of one trawler, two F lighters and one E-boat moving north 1,5 miles off Pta. Baratti was attacked with no visible results. Heavy enemy fire slightly damaged PT 210 and one British boat, and caused slight casualities to 3 British personal.[3]. |
