| Gefechtsbericht A: | Das Führerboot der 21st MTB 233 (Lt. Fraser mit S.O. an Bord) musste wegen Motorschadens umkehren und Lt. Dickens stieg um auf MTB 83 (Lt. Felce). Am Abend gingen die Boote in Lauerstellung vor die holländische Küste. Gegen 1h45 sichtete der S.O. 2 Schiffe. "My first impression was, that the enemy were trawlers." Wegen der hohen Marschgeschwindigkeit des Gegners revidierte Dickens seine Vermutung und hielt den Gegner für Zerstörer. Angriff von 83 mit Torpedos verfehlte T 23 vor dem Bug. MTB 88 (Lt. Perkins) fand keine geeignete Angriffsposition. Dickens: "I was too close to the enemy to disengage in the normal manner and therefore .. passed through their line. I was about 200 yards away that the enemy started firing. I made smoke and was soon clear." [2][4]. -> At 0154/15 S.O. 21st M.T.B. Flotilla in 83 with M.T.B. 88 in company in 53° 30’ N. 05° 25' E. and steering west on silent engines sighted 2 destroyers, reported as possibly Narvik class, coming up astern at high speed. M.T.B.83 turned to port and got in a hurried shot, believed to have missed ahead, from 150 yards, and disengaged through the line. M.T.B.88 was too close to turn in time, but twice endeavoured to attack. She was unable to gain bearing and lost contact at 0220. No damage or casualties. Visibility was 1000 yards or less.[5] |

Keine Meldung über eine Gefechtsberührung [3]. 15.11.: Weitermarsch T 23 und 'Kondor' von Hoek von Holland nach Vlissingen wurde wegen Maschinenschadens auf "Kondor" um 24 Stunden verschoben [3]. |
