Gefechtsbericht A: Minelaying Operations P.W. were replaced in September 1941 by two new identities (Q.K. and Q.L.). Minelaying in the area Hook of Holland, East Scheldt, Scheveningen was undertaken by ML's of the 50th ML flotilla based at Dover and 51st ML flotilla at Felixstowe.[1] ->
Carry out operation Q.L. 1 tonight. Covering force 4 M.G.B.’s from BEEHIVE. Should weather prove unsuitable operation is to be broken off in time for M.L.' s to return to Aldeburgh Buoy by Daylight. M.G.B.'s should be prepared to shift patrol if E-boats are reported elsewhere. (C. in C. Nore,0940A/31 to BEEHIVE). Departure M.G.B.’s 64, 63, 58, 61 at 19h24.[2]. -> Mines were laid last night off Hook of Holland [2]
