| Gefechtsbericht A: | First deployment of Motor Launches (ML's) during June 1941 in Dover Command when 50th ML flotilla began the "NL" Series off the French Coast. For the next year minelaying in "QL" and "NL" areas was undertaken by ML's of the 50th ML based at Dover and 51st ML at Felixstowe which began operations in September 1941. Motor Torpedo Boats of 6th MTB based at Dover were deployed for the first time for "NL 77" off Etaples.[1]. -> June 22nd: Intend to lay N.L. 1 tonight. (V.A. Dover, 1241B/22).[2]. |
