| Gefechtsbericht A: | MTB's 678 and 676 (Force 112) sailed from Plymouth at 1640B/20 from an anti-shipping sweep between Lest Roches Douvres and Barnouic. They were joined by MTB's 96, 90 and 98 at 1830B/20 in position 184° - Start Point 19 miles. MTB 98 returned to harbour around 2100B/20 after having broken down. At about 0200B/21, MTB's 678 and 676 which were to the northward of MTB's 96 and 90, obtained radar contact with an enemy force to the southward. They were immediately illuminated and came under very heavy fire and were forced to retire, but without casualties. MTB's 96 and 90, to the southward were unable to make contact with the enemy.
