| Gefechtsbericht A: | 23.03.1943 02h20 Angriff des brit. MTB 311 (unterwegs mit MTB 265) bei Insel Plane (nahe Bône) auf Siebelfähre in einem 4er-Verband mit 2 Torpedos aus einer Entfernung von 700 Yards. Beobachtet wurde ein orangeroter Blitz und Rauch. Nachfolgende Fähre feuerte mit 20mm Flak auf den Angreifer. Die MTBs erwiderten das Feuer. -- MTB 265 and MTB 311 depart Bone to conduct an offensive sweep off Plane Island, Tunisia. At 01h50 lookouts spot four vessels moving in formation. The senior officer decides that MTB 311 will attack with torpedoes and MTB 265 will cover her with gunfire if required. At 02h20 MTB 311 approaches, on silent engine, to attack and reaches a point 700yds from the third vessel before firing two torpedoes. The Germans return fire and MTB 311 turns to starboard to disengage. A flak lighter is sunk, On return trip to Bone, a mine explodes in the wake of MTB 311 [3]. |

| Gefechtsbericht B: | F 478, F 479, F 482, F 483 auf Marsch Bizerta nach Trapani. Um 02.05 Uhr 37°13,5’N, 10°26,5’O Alarm. 2 Schnellboote mit Kurs 150° auf Gruppe zuhaltend gesichtet. 02.07 Uhr Feind bewegt sich in 1000m Entfernung. 02.13 Uhr LFZ-Gruppe gibt 2 Warnschüsse mit 2cm ab. S-Boote eröffnen das Feuer mit 4cm Waffen. Dieses wird sofort mit gutliegendem 7,5cm und 2cm Feuer erwiedert. 02.17 Uhr S-Boote drehen ab und nebeln sich ein. Abwehrfeuer wird eingestellt. Keine Verluste [4]. |
