| Gefechtsbericht A: | Persuant to orders from S.O. Inshore Squadron (R.N.), U.S. PT 217 (Division Commander RON 15) and PT 304 (RON 22) completed a successful intelligence mission to Pta. Del Giardino (Elba) at the night of 16/17 May 1944; in spite of encountering two enemy “E” boats patrolling the area, and being fired upon at 01h18 and at 01h40 near Pta. di Fetovaia. PTs as well as enemy sustained no battle damage [3]. |
