27.12.1940 commandeered by Greek government (office Ν.Δ. 58/41) in Persia (Iran). [A]
19.04.1941 with Captain Panagis A. Kampitsis in command and with British refugees in a convoy from Piraeus to Alexandria, Egypt.
20.04.1941 due to lack of coal, ship went to Souda, Crete.
21.04.1941, 14:00, attacked by German Luftwaffe aircraft with bombs and machine guns. The steamer sustained a heavy bomb hit in hold #1 and took water, but the captain had sufficient time to beach the ship. KONISTRA was partially looted later, subsequently left and declared to be a total loss. [B]
1941 declared to be unrefloatable by the Wehrmacht, but salvaged later, repaired and put into service as a transport ship for the Kriegsmarine. [C]
1942 ownership Mittelmeer Reederei GmbH, Hamburg, Germany.
08.1944 sunk in Marseille, France.
08.02.1946 raised and beached by the Allies.
07.1946 scrapped.
