Ein Feindfahrt ohne Rückkehr, 33 Seetage. Keine Schiffe versenkt oder beschädigt. (Commander. Two transit trips, 4 days. During first war patrol when returning to France on 24.05.1944 the boat was attacked in the Bay of Biscay by a Wellington from No. 612 Squadron RAF, Royal Air Force Coastal Command, the aircraft which is shot down, later the boat was severe damaged and unable to submerge after a air attack by a Liberator aircraft from No. 224 Squadron RAF, later the badly damaged boat was escorted by five minesweepers and reached Lorient after 57 days at sea.
