| Footnote : | On 7-8 July 21 "Marders" started out. At this time no "Marder" returned. - The pilot which sank "Pylades" is still unknown. Examinations on the wreck in 2004 revealed that "Pylades" had been hit by 2 torpedoes. A "Marder" could carry no more than 1 torpedo. This led Lawrence Paterson to the conclusion, that "Pylades" had been attacked and sunk by 2 "Marders". |
