During the first war patrol in the North Atlantic the boat was severe damaged in a air attack by B-24 Liberator aircraft from Nº 10 Sqdn RCAF and return to base after 35 days at sea. One war patrol in the North Atlantic without return. Never sunk or damaged a ship.)
