__.07.1943-__.07.1943Bordarzt auf 'U 441' [Kdt: von Hartmann] . 1. U-Flottille, Brest. Ein Flak u-Boot operation 6 Seetage. Am 12.07.1943 dem Marine-Stabsarzt Dr. Paul Pfaffinger übernahm das Kommando über das Boot, weil die 'U 441' durch drei Flugzeuge aus Beaufighter Nr. 248 Squadron RAF. Zehn Menschen wurden getötet und dreizehn weitere verletzt, darunter alle Offiziere. Dr. Paul Pfaffinger, übernahm das Kommando und führte das Boot zurück, das am 13.Juli 1943 in Brest die Leinen festmachte. (On the 12.07.1943 during the 2nd patrol as anti-aircraft boat, the boat was strafed by three Beaufighter aircraft from No. 248 Squadron RAF. Ten men were killed and thirteen more wounded, including all of the officers. The U-boat doctor Marine-Stabsarzt Dr. Paul Pfaffinger took command, and brought the boat safely back to Brest.)
